Sergeant Major Lazzeroni enlisted on 28 May 96, and attended recruit training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot; San Diego CA.  Sergeant Major Lazzeroni then attended the School of Infantry (SOI) at MCB Camp Pendleton, CA where he gained the MOS of 0311.

Upon graduation of SOI in November of 1996, Sergeant Major Lazzeroni was ordered to 1st Battalion, 1st Marines, 1st Marines Division at MCB Camp Pendleton, CA where he served with Bravo Company where he earned the rank of Sergeant and participated in operation Southern Watch with the 11th MEUSOC, and operation Silent Assurance with the 15th MEUSOC.  Sergeant Major Lazzeroni was reassigned to H&S Company, 1st Battalion, 1st Marines, 1st Marines Division in February 2000 to work at the 1st Marine Regimental Boathouse as the Maintenance Chief / Platoon Sergeant.

Sergeant Major Lazzeroni received orders to Basic Recruiter School, MCRD San Diego, CA in April 2002.  Upon graduation, he executed orders to Recruiting Station Springfield in Chicopee, Massachusetts, where he served as a canvassing recruiter and military entrance processing liaison for a period of three years and was promoted to the rank of Staff Sergeant

Upon completion of his successful tour as a Canvassing Recruiter, in May of 2005, Sergeant Major Lazzeroni was ordered to 3rd Battalion 7th Marines, 1st Marine Division where he was assigned to Kilo Company 1st Platoon as the Platoon Sergeant.  Sergeant Major Lazzeroni deployed with 3rd Battalion 7th Marines and participated in OIF 5-07 and OIF 6-8. 

Upon return from OIF 6-8, Sergeant Major Lazzeroni was promoted to the rank of Gunnery Sergeant in January 2008 and attended SNCO Advance Course and then received orders to Marine Security Guard School as a student Detachment Commander.  Sergeant Major Lazzeroni then executed orders to American Embassy Panama City, Panama and American Embassy Moscow, Russia before being selected to serve as an Instructor / Advisor and the Primary Weapons Instructor for the school house where he was selected to the rank of First Sergeant.

Sergeant Major Lazzeroni reported to Combat Logistics Battalion 4, Combat Logistics Regiment 3, 3D Marine Logistics Group In August 2011 as the Company First Sergeant for Maintenance Services Company and participated in an OEF deployment in 2012, and a three month training exercise “Ssangyong 13” in South Korea.  In August 2013 Sergeant Major Lazzeroni executed orders to be the Inspector Instructor First Sergeant for Company D, 4th Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, 4th Marine Division and was promoted to his current rank of Sergeant Major. 

Sergeant Major Lazzeroni is currently serving as the Battalion Sergeant Major at 3d Marine Raider Support Battalion.  

Sergeant Major Lazzeroni’s personal decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with Combat V and Three Gold Stars, the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with two Gold Stars and the Combat Action Ribbon.
