Major General James F. Glynn

Major General Glynn assumed command of Marine Forces Special Operations Command (MARSOC) on 26 June 2020. His previous assignment was the Commanding General of Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island and Eastern Recruiting Region. A native of Albany, New York, his service as a Marine began in 1989 after graduating from the U.S. Naval Academy with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Sergeant Major Anthony J. Loftus
Command Sergeant Major

Sergeant Major Anthony Loftus enlisted in the Marine Corps September 1998 and attended recruit training aboard MCRD, San Diego, CA. Upon graduation, he reported to Marine Corps Base, Camp Pendleton, CA, for Marine Combat Training. Following MCT, he reported to Marine Corps Engineer School, Court House Bay, Camp Lejeune, NC where he received the MOS of 1171 and was meritoriously promoted to the rank of Lance Corporal.

Master Gunnery Sergeant Shawn A. Disbennett
Command SOF Senior Enlisted Advisor

Master Gunnery Sergeant Shawn A. Disbennett was born in Loundville, Ohio. He graduated from Parris Island, South Carolina in April 1993 and then attended the School of Infantry at Camp Geiger, North Carolina to become a Marine Infantry Rifleman.

MCPO Joseph Martin
Command Master Chief

In May of 1999, MCPO Martin enlisted as a Seaman Recruit and attended Basic Training at Navy Recruit Training Center Great Lakes. Upon graduation, he attended Hospital Corpsman “A” school. In March 2000, he attended Field Medical Service School, Camp Pendleton. After successful completion of FMSS he reported to 1st Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion 1st MARDIV and deployed with Company D attached to the 13th MEU.
